Why Haven Dental and Haven Bodyworks Exist Together
Haven Dental and Haven Bodyworks operate in the same space not just out of convenience, but because we realized that the body doesn’t work in pieces, and neither should care.
Pain and dysfunction in the face, head, and neck sit in a gap between professions.
Most medical doctors and dentists are not extensively trained to evaluate or manage musculoskeletal pain conditions of the head, neck, jaw, and upper body. Their training is essential for identifying disease, pathology, and structural problems, but pain that lives in muscles, joints, connective tissue, posture, breathing, and nervous system regulation often falls outside that scope.
Chiropractors and bodyworkers are trained to assess and treat these pain patterns. We work directly with the soft tissues, joints, and movement systems that commonly drive headaches, jaw pain, neck pain, shoulder tension, and upper back issues. However, we are also limited as certain cases require pharmaceutical management, orthodontic correction, oral appliances, airway interventions, or surgical care to fully resolve the underlying problem.
Haven exists because neither side alone is enough.
Dr. Andy Carper DC and Dr. Alex Dahm DDS are bringing dental care and bodywork together under one philosophy, we’re able to close that gap to address pain and dysfunction conservatively when appropriate, while recognizing when deeper structural or medical intervention is necessary for true resolution.
A Shared Philosophy, Not a One-Size-Fits-All Model
Haven Dental and Haven Bodyworks work closely, but intentionally. Each discipline maintains its own scope, expertise, and standards while sharing communication, clinical insight, and a common goal: care that makes sense and actually helps people feel better.
Some patients benefit from coordinated dental and bodywork care. Others may only need one side of the practice. Either way, decisions are made based on what’s appropriate, not what’s convenient or trendy.
