We chose the name Haven because we know that healthcare can be scary and we want you to know that this is a safe space.

The treatment philosophy is simple. Find the root of the problem and correct it with gentle bodywork (massage, passive stretching, joint mobilization/manipulation), rehabilitation (stabilizing exercises, stretches, breathing), and behavior modification (habit-stacking, work ergonomics, food choices). I am here to help you take control of your health to improve your ability to perform the activities that you love free of pain and find longevity in your life!

Office Policies

  • Appointment scheduling: Please schedule appointments in advance and arrive on time. Any cancellations or rescheduling requests should be made at least 24 hours prior to the appointment.

  • Payment & Insurance:  Payment is due at the time of service for appointments.

    Medical insurance is a way to help offset the cost of care, not a reflection of its value. I work with several insurance plans and for many patients this means their insurance contributes toward a portion of each visit. For some, that contribution is substantial. For others, it’s partial.

    Rather than letting insurance dictate how care is delivered, we will structure visits intentionally and apply insurance benefits as we can. This allows us to stay focused, effective, and sustainable, while still helping you make use of the coverage you have.

    If you’re in-network (Regence BlueCross BlueShield & MODA), your insurance may cover most of the visit.

    If you’re out-of-network, your insurance may still contribute meaningfully.

    Either way, your care is guided by what you need, not by arbitrary billing rules.

    I accept these payment methods:

    • Cash (preferred)

    • Check

    • Credit/debit

    • Health savings account [HSA]

    • Auto Insurance Claim - Oregon is a “no-fault” state. Anyone involved in a motor vehicle accident with an auto insurance claim is eligible to have their care covered 100%.

    • Trades for goods (home grown produce & meat, art, tools, musical instruments/equipment, jewelry/precious metals, gems/minerals) and services (tattoos, artwork, landscaping/gardening, electrical work, bodywork, home/office cleaning, etc.). If you have a skill or service not listed, reach out to me and we can chat.

    • Medical Insurance - I am in-network with most Regence BlueCross BlueShield plans and most MODA plans for now as they cover . If you another insurance company that offers out-of-network benefits, I can provide you with a superbill and any additional necessary documentation to submit for partial reimbursement of services.

  • Privacy and confidentiality: The office adheres to all laws and regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality. Patient information is kept secure and is only shared with authorized individuals as necessary.

  • Patient behavior: Patients are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner during their visit. Any disruptive, sexually suggestive, violent, or otherwise deemed inappropriate behavior will result in termination of services. Be kind and don’t be creepy, it’s pretty simple.

  • Health and safety: This is a non-judgmental safe space.

    I am here to help you advocate for your own health and well-being. I ask a lot of questions to get as much information as possible to help you increase your health literacy and awareness. The more information you can provide me, the better I can help you. Please disclose any health conditions/diseases/addictions/etc. that you may be dealing with. Notify me of any allergies or sensitivities to certain products or treatments. If you are currently sick, just wait until you are feeling better to come in.

  • Follow-up appointments: We will work together to determine a plan of action and how many visits you may need depending on the nature of your problem. The info found here may give you a better idea of a treatment timeline.

  • Referrals: If a problem is beyond my scope or capacity to help or additional medical care is warranted, we will refer to a specialist or other healthcare provider accordingly.
